Put simply, Brad Crabtree has accepted thousands of dollars in contributions of the very sort he’s called unethical, and possibly illegal, when made to Republicans. Continue Reading

I don’t believe Brad Crabtree is on the Public Service Commission as yet, and he is totally within his rights to take contributions from the general public without restriction. What he has said is if he were to be elected, he would not take any contributions from people with business before the commission. This is an apples/oranges type of argument Port is making and it is without merit.

Being paid up front is different than being paid after the election, only by the fact he may not be elected to do the bidding of the money bags. In any case, it is the SAME people paying both of them in hopes of some return! In both cases the person receiving the money feels an obligation to favorably view the wants and concerns of the deep pockets and their money, as there will then be more money coming his way.
Our current system for electing people to office does not breed honesty.
