Jim, Wal-Mart provides entry level jobs. These types of jobs are valuable to a community as they provide a way for our young people to gain work experience. They also allow many families an opportunity to supplement their income.
Furthermore I can vouch for the argument that many people leave Cottage Grove to shop at Wal-Mart. My family does frequently. We purchase tires, get oil changes and go shopping at the Hastings Wal-Mart regularly.
