Ben Grimsley strengths are finance and politics
August 10, 2012 at 10:55 am in DL-Online
Ben Grimsley isn’t taking his campaign for Becker County Board lying down. He has been knocking on doors and attending county and city meetings on a regular basis. Grimsley, 25, is a self-employed financial planner at Anchor Financial in the ERA building downtown. Continue Reading

An excellent candidate, we are blessed to have three candidates running for this office that want more that just the same good old boy politics that Becker County is known for and stand ready to challenge the status quo. Your insight on building city-county relations is what we need. For the last year, I have noticed the absence of the County at numerous meetings, such as the dedication of our Veterans park and community events like the Memorial Day. Hopefully, if you are elected you can fill this void that has existed since the forced resignation of County Administrator Tom Mortenson who was almost always present and involved in our County.
I think your interest in serving the people is noteworthy and your concern for our aging population is appreciated.
Hot debate. What do you think?

I hope for his sake that he’s more like his mom and NOTHING like his dad. In the last election Ben was arrogant and avoided certain questions. I hope that he learned from his mistakes.

Agreed Jeff. The way Ben treats other people is appalling and shows his true colors. Don’t be fooled, he doesn’t give a sh*t about anyone who he would ‘represent’. He was a huge bully to some all throughout school. Some like him (the people who weren’t tormented by him) and he carried a HUGE attitude with authority, like basic human respect for teachers. All this attention for him, is just yet another ego trip. He has failed to evolve as a human being, and just managed to get even more arrogant with time. It’s unfortunate. I would LOVE to see him volunteer, for the sake of volunteering (not campaigning and trying to make himself look good) and/or WORK for someone else besides HIMSELF. Please vote for anyone who truly cares. It’s clearly NOT Ben Grimsley. He and his entire family have a big reputation and it is NOT a positive one. I hope someday he will mature…

Just read the letter to the editor about his comments on COLA. Typical Grimsley — say anything without knowing the first thing about the subject. Why isn’t he apologizing for the statement instead of a great group like COLA having to explain that this clown is clueless? He owes them and the City an apology but I’m not holding my breath!

S you are 100% coorect about Ben. He was a bully who was more scared of other people bullying him. His thinking was bully others so he wouldn’t get bullied and if he did get bullied he ran to the office and cried about it. Ben was a bully because he kissed enough butt in the principal’s office that thought he was the one getting bullied. Ben was a wuss and a coward.
He reminds me a lot of his dad. Forcing people to listen to him then gets ticked off if you don’t listen to what he has to say. If you want some one who represents you and your voice then DON’T VOTE FOR BEN!!

S and Jeff, I cannot begin to express how much I agree with you. My worst memories from school are of Ben and not only the way he treated me, but watching him be so disrespectful to any teacher. I have seen his arrogance remain throughout the years. He thinks because he can put a mask on, he can continue with his delusional power trip and get elected. After his last loss I wish he would have given up. Sadly, peopled in the community are blind to who he really is. Please, tell anyone and everyone that he is not what he seems to be. I would be sickened if he actually won.

Ben acts like his poo doesn’t stink. Problem is not only does his poo stink, so does his attitude. He was very envious of anyone who did better than him. To get back at them he would bully them around. What a way to make yourself feel better. This is the samething his dad acted.
He can come out and say he is sorry for the way he treated people in the past, but he’s changed. Yeah he changed from being a teenage a-hole to an adult a-hole. He hasn’t changed and never will.
His disrespect towards teachers was horrible and the way he was towards other adults. He still acts this way today. His arroagance is going to be his downfall in life. Funny I’ve never seen him do anything for anyone but himself. He is very self-centered, selfish, and just a total jerk. I guess he shouldn’t have ticked off all those people in high school. Karma’s a “B” and coming back strong against Ben. Like your dad would say ALL THE TIME. “You reap what you sow.” Man you’ll be sowing forr a while it looks like.
Here is my slogan for the election. VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT BEN!!!!

Amen Jeff. AMEN!! If you treat people like sh*t, you don’t deserve power. The thought of it gives me shivers and makes me quite frankly, ill. Ask any DLHS faculty who had the displeasure of having him as a student and they will tell you how disrespectful and how much of a jerk he was to not only them but his classmates as well. EVERYONE is below him, in his mind. Hence why he loves the idea of being in power. Puke!!!! I could say a lot more about him, but I’m not sure if all of it is 100% correct. From what I am saying is from personal first-hand experience with him. He reminds me of the typical slimeball politician who only has power and greed as a motive… if you are reading this and you don’t know him, I implore you…ANYONE but Ben. I wouldn’t trust him with one freaking dollar. If you do know him and agree with what I and others are saying, I encourage you to write a “letter to the editor”, letting the masses know about the true ugly content of Ben’s character. This is not ‘bashing’ for no reason, this is informing the public of someone to seriously be concerned with.
