Compensation based on performance….what a concept! If only the entire government was based on the same.
Hot debate. What do you think?

double edged sword…if you have a crappy supervisor who dosent like you no matter what your performance…guess what…
or a teacher who works their butt off, but has several children whos parents dont care…or help them with school (and the kid pays no attention no matter what they do to keep engaged)

How come every job in the world has the ability to judge/rate how their employees do BUT we can’t do it in education. We cn measure all of the changes within student population and effort by staff. We don’t need biased unions to set the rating systems, we need students and parents, who pay the bills , to set the how we compentsate teachers. I belive that most teachers are great BUT some need to be replaced……so stop the least common deominator as the best we can do. The weakest should not be the rule in education. And don’t tell me about how the unions are doing are their work for the children….because that is the farthest thing from their minds More dues mean more money for the union leaders.

I’m thinking these meter maids in CA are getting quite a bit more than 150% for a job that requires a HS diploma or GED…want to guess salary????
How about $90,000 + benies

I’m glad to see St Croix Co Supervisors are using SOME common sense.
