IF you want to make that work zone safer you need more law enforcement monitoring the area!!! I can not tell you HOW many cars, even with the radar signs telling you how fast they are going, go flying past me at 60, 65, or even 70 mph.
They don’t follow the rules, they text, and do other things in the vehicle while speeding usually. I was even given a gesture with a finger as I slowed from the 65 mph posted speed limit to the 55 mph limit while in the right (slow) lane. The car came flying up on my rear, zipped around me, and then blew past me in the fast lane. All while the speed limit radar sign was showing a flashing “71 mph.”
Sadly until the project is over and without heavy enforcement more accidents and injuries WILL occur.
