I don’t agree with your pretense of using this letter to the editor as a free way to get your name out for the auditors position.
That being said I do agree with your premise that this audit, the narrow focus are more of a reason for an ‘unnamed’ Speaker of the House to nitpick his way into controlling the North Dakota University System.

I was so glad to see that this piece wasn’t written by a CPA but by a politician running for office. I could be wrong, but I thought that’s when the annual audit came out every year. I read quite a bit of the findings of the audit and it didn’t seem political at all. It was standard language used by all auditors. Every audit has statements that look upsetting to the untrained eye. It was the reporter who chose which findings to highlight in the paper, not the state auditor. Who votes for an architect to be state auditor? Key words, folks, “untrained eye.”
