The Steep Canyon Rangers are a bluegrass band that perform and record and have been nominated for awards and played “A Prairie Home Companion.” And sometimes, like Sunday, they’re joined by comedian-author-actor-art collector and, yes, banjo player Steve Martin. This isn’t a stretch. When Martin was starting out in the comedy scene, he incorporated the banjo into his act, according to his memoir “Born Standing Up: A Comic’s Life.”
