Mr. Behrends – So you’re insinuating that the government killed the people in CO in order to get support for a gun ban? Unbelievable. Regarding the UN treaty, it’s about the international import and export of illegal firearms, it’s not about domestic policy. Don’t worry about losing your 2nd Amendment rights. Those rights exist until the amendment is repealed or changed – neither of which is likely to happen in our lifetimes.

Amye, yes I am blaming the Gov. for all of the gun violence. In less than 12 hours after the shooting, anti-gun people, including our Gov. were already dancing in their blood for more gun laws. Have you ever read the II Amendment? “The Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Shall not be Infringed. Gov. keeps making Gun Free Zones, (which have NO affect). There are over 20,000 gun laws now which have NO affect!! The Constitution means nothing to Governments unless it benefits them! Please Wake Up! Rodb

What kind of sick jerk blames the government for the tragic event in Colorado? It wasn’t the government that sold the AR-15 to the guy at Gander Mt. It wasn’t the government that didn’t stop the sale of a 100 round clip. It wasn’t the government that bought 6,000 rounds without any red flags. IT WAS A SICK PERSON that has too much ease of access to guns, that killed those people in Colorado. We don’t need to “wake up” as you say, you need to take your meds to stop your crazy delusions.

Funny how Mr. Behrends comments and statements about the 2nd Amendment Rights has turned into bashing the man for his opinion. WOW how sad really! The UN vote was to remove guns from the American citizens and anyone who does not know this did not take a few minutes to research the issue. And as for the government not getting guns into the hands of criminals has had their eyes closed durning the entire Fast and Furious program that OUR OWN government allowed guns to get into the hands of criminals and have cost numerous people their lives. Minister Merc, how can you make a personal attack on a man you know nothing about? Take some time out of your busy day and research info on Fast and Furious and the UN vote and what it was really all about before lashing out at someone for their opinions. Please turn off the TV and really research, not everything you hear on CNN and other news channels is gospel.

Also if you are for stricter gun laws that only stops honest people from getting guns. Criminals will always find away to get them. You won’t see the stories about honest armed citizens stopping a crime in progress because they were exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. These are not the stories they want you to hear about when pushing for tougher gun laws.

A Vallejo man carrying a legal concealed weapon halted a reported robbery in progress at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Subway sandwich restaurant in the 600 block of Lewis Brown Road, Sgt. Jeff Bassett said.
Bassett said a suspect entered the restaurant and ordered a sandwich, and when the clerk was finished with it, he brandished a knife and demanded cash.
Meanwhile, the man, described as a 25-year-old Vallejoan with a permit for a concealed weapon, drew his gun and confronted the suspect who ran out of the restaurant before he was able to take anything, Bassett said.
The suspect is described as a black man, 60, with long black hair who was wearing black clothing.

I can say what i did because he is blaming the government for an incident that it did not cause. Its an insult to those killed/injuried and only a fool wouldn’t see it as such. I never once called for any gun control in my statement. I simply stated that the government had 0% involvement in those killings, but the cause was a very sick person with ease of access to guns.
Fast and Furious has nothing to do with this topic. Your attempts to avoid the issue are irrelevent from the fact Rob is placing blame for the kills away from the man that did it. Pro gun groups love the saying “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”, perhaps Rob should stick to that motto and not blame “big brother”.
And plenty of other stories many don’t hear, just google child killed by gun and there are plenty of them.
10/27/2008-An 8-year-old boy died after accidentally shooting himself in the head while firing an Uzi submachine gun under adult supervision at a gun fair.
March 14, 2012; 3-year-old Julio Segura McIntosh fatally shot himself with a gun he found in a car while his family stopped for gas in Tacoma early Wednesday, police said, marking western Washington’s third recent shooting by a child.
May 30th, 2012; A three-year-old girl was killed after accidentally being shot in the head this morning in a residence in a Bradley County subdivision, according to officers with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators believe the child accidentally shot herself, said Bob Gault, spokesman for the sheriff’s department.
But i guess these deaths are somehow the Governments fault in Robs twisted mind.

I did do my research. A United Nations treaty cannot override our Second Amendment rights. I’m so sick of all this fear-mongering. Now it’s my turn to say, “Wake up!”

You liberals are ignorant. If more people took advantage of the 2nd ammendment then the shooting wouldn’t have been as severe as it is. DUMB people with guns are the people you have to worry about. People who are too scared of guns to teach their kids how to handle them. The government is corrupt no matter how you look at it, if you don’t see it you need to do some research or pull your head out of your keesters. Rod B you are speaking the truth and i back you 100%. if these ignorant people don’t want to see whats really happening that is their choice. They will be the ones surprised by this all. Don’t give these libetards the satisfaction of responding to their pointless insults.

amye, this is what I am talkong about when I say do research on the subject.
The draft of the treaty prepared earlier this year by the UN Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) explains that the treaty is aimed at crime control as well as rogue militias in developing nations:
The majority of conflict deaths are caused by the use of small arms, and civilian populations bear the brunt of armed conflict more than ever. Also, small arms are the dominant tools of criminal violence.
The PrepCom report of February 2012 — despite protestations by the Hillary Clinton’s minions — is not limited merely to international transfer of firearms. The draft treaty covers “transfers” as well as imports and exports of firearms:
The international transactions or activities covered by this Treaty include those listed below and defined in Annex A:
(a) Import;
(b) Export;
(c) Transfer…
In this matter, the 2012 conference is merely following the goals of the 2001 UN Programme of Action on small arms, which required national gun registries and collection agencies for those guns once they’ve been registered. The 2001 Programme of Action requires nations:
To ensure that comprehensive and accurate records are kept for as long as possible on the manufacture, holding and transfer of small arms and light weapons under their jurisdiction. These records should be organized and maintained in such a way as to ensure that accurate information can be promptly retrieved and collated by competent national authorities.
To develop and implement, where possible, effective disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programmes, including the effective collection, control, storage and destruction of small arms and light weapons…
The UN is still seeking this kind of broad control over private firearms ownership, and UN General Assembly resolution 66/47, adopted December 2, 2011 in advance of this month’s conference that it seeks to ban “The illicit trade in small arms and light weapons in all its aspects.” [Emphasis added]
Moreover, the 2012 PrepCom report uses broad bans on any transfer of firearms:
A State Party shall not authorize a transfer of conventional arms if there is a substantial risk that those conventional arms would: Be used in a manner that would seriously undermine peace and security or provoke, prolong or aggravate internal, regional, subregional or international instability.
Some 56 or more U.S. senators have written a letter to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton opposing the UN global gun registry, according to the National Rifle Association. Senatorial opposition began with a July 26, 2011 letter claiming that “the establishment of any sort of international gun registry that could impede upon the privacy rights of law-abiding gun owners is a non-starter.”
The U.S. State Department already has a State Department Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement that could be used as a control agency for domestic controls on firearms transfers.
The State Department policy on Conventional Weapons Destruction suggests: “The proliferation of illicit conventional weapons, including small arms and light weapons (SA/LW), in regions of the world suffering from political instability and violent conflict has proven a major obstacle to peace, economic development, and efforts to rebuild war-torn societies. In places like Afghanistan, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Colombia, thousands of innocent civilians have been killed and tens of thousands more displaced by ethnic and civil conflicts perpetuated in large part by easy access to illicit conventional weapons, particularly SA/LW.”
Many of the countries listed by State Department officials are the very nations that most need “illicit” small arms to fight back against genocidal governments. “Illicit” is the new globalist jargon for “illegal,” though in most instances the sparse “illegal” weapons around the world are the ones that are being used by victims to shoot back against genocidal governments. This is certainly the case in Syria today, where perfectly legal small arms in the hands of the government are crushing a largely disarmed civilian population. It was also recently the case in the genocide in South Sudan, which recently won independence from Sudan — ending the genocide — after using “illicit” small arms in an independence effort.
In the 1994 Rwandan genocide, the “illegal” and “illicit” guns would have been those owned by the victims. And in Rwanda, the United Nations helped to facilitate arms deals to the government forces and was complicit in the genocide of some 800,000 innocent Tutsis. Gun control in Rwanda was so effectively implemented — in part with UN “peacekeeper” assistance — that much of the genocide against Tutsis was carried out by Hutu-aligned government forces with machetes — not guns!

Minister Merc, first “your attempts to avoid the issue are irrelevent” they are NOT irrelevent you are saying blaming the government for getting weapons into hands of sick minded people is “crazy delusions”. Do you think the guns from Fast and Furious went into the hands of good, honest hard working Americans!?
Second are you truly a minister or is that just something you put in front of your name? If you truly are a minister you are not practicing what you are or should be teaching.
Matthew 7:1-2
1Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Romans 2:1
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 14:10,13
10You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 13…therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another…
Just to name a few! Yes just to let you know I am a God fearing, gun toting, Country loving woman who does not think Liberals have a clue as they can’t agrue a point because they have to resort to name calling. Put facts in front of them and they become confused.

Glad you avoided the stories of children killed by guns, i mean people. FF wouldn’t realy be an issue if guns weren’t as easy to obtain in the first place, would it? Operation Wide Receiver also placed guns in criminals hands and were lost, yet no outcry then. Why not?
I am an ordained minister. As a minister i can point out when people are lying, like Rob has done. I should speak up when someone lies about a tragic event then twists it to blame the government. As a woman, one would think you would do more to protect children’s safety….but i’m sure those children that died, it was their fault (or maybe the government like Rob believes) and not the guns.

You’re advising Rod not to respond to those who disagree with him. You, however, choose to weigh in with your colorful, name-calling, comments. How classy is that? Truly dumb and ignorant people don’t know how to spell, capitalize, or punctuate and have to resort to name calling to try to get their point across. Who looks foolish?

This man was highly intelligent. Without firearms he would have found another way to kill people. I don’t doubt that for a moment. Think about Iraq and suicide bombing. The possibility is…it could happen here.

If you seriously believe the government is trying to take your guns away, you are a qualified member of the tin foil hat society. You are being manipulated and you don’t even realize it because you limit your sources of information. It’s your right, but it’s sad.
