UW-Milwaukee professor John Heywood says Wisconsin’s latest job numbers reflect “the continued fits and starts of an incredibly slow and painful recovery.” Everything has a silver lining even the drought that has cost Wisconsin farmers millions in crop damage.

Difficult to do when the democrats vote against companies that create thousands of jobs in northern WI.

Why are the early numbers taken from such a small sample group? Terrible national numbers also. Alice- get over it already. Gov Walker is in office for at least 6 more years due to your failed recall mess. By the time that’s up we’ll have a whole different economy and Walker will seen as a true hero.

You should move to a state run by democrats…every state ran by republicans is doing far better than those states and you seem to like misery.

Un Wagge,
If I may suggest, take a look at Detroit. It has been under Democrat elected official control for 50+ years. Dem policies, over regulation, corruption, crime and union demands on car makers have resulted in a living example of progressive policies. If you want to move there, it won’t cost much to buy a house, and it likely will be the only house in a large area of green space created by the bulldozing of abandoned houses.

Walter,
Thank you for the link. In your post you stated: “You should move to a state run by democrats…every state ran by republicans is doing far better than those states…”
The data shows the average unemployment in Dem run states to be 8.28%. 10 of the 23 Rep run states have higher than 8.28% unemployment. based on the data you provided, I conclude that your statement is false. Not every state run by Rep governments is better off than every Dem state.
In fact 4 of the 12 Dem controlled states are better off than the average republican controlled states.

From this article:
“Romney has a point: Of the states whose unemployment rate is below the national average of 8.2%, most are run by Republican governors.
However, this is also true: Of the states whose unemployment rate is above the national average, more are run by Republicans than Democrats.
How’s that?
Simply put: There are more Republican governors (29) than Democratic governors (20), so Republicans can be on both sides of the unemployment divide. “

I thought Obama promised to keep unemployment below 8%, which if it was true would likely have Walker keeping his promise of 250,000 new jobs.
A Government Accounability Institute study show Pres Obama spending 600 hours playing golf, and 412 hours on economic meetings since he took office.

As GS points out, Obama’s failed policies and lack of economic leadership is bringing us all down. Walker is setting us up for serious job growth but first we need weed out some of the non-productives. WI will add tons of jobs next year with new national leadership starting in Jan.

“Maybe if he spent a little more time acting like a governor instead of meeting with his lawyer”
Please provide info to back up your contention Walker is spending more time with his lawyers instead of “acting” as a governor. Btw, he isn’t “acting”, he is fulfilling his duties as goveror while being hounded by a 2+ year-long, patrisian John Doe investigation.
Hang onto your job. September is looking horrible for Greece, as the IMF appears to be ready to quit throwing money at the bankrupt, socialist country. If that happens, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland are the next potential countries to be thrown under the economic bus. All the Eurozone problems will affect the US and states.
Of course, if Obama is re-elected, we have nothing to worry about as he made clear in his Roanoke speech, “If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Unemployment is bound to drop, as soon as the “somebody” steps up to the plate.

Obama said last week that everyone is responsible for business successes, not the business owners. That would mean that everyone is responsible for business failures, too. Alice, it’s your fault that businesses haven’t been able to grow and hire the additional 250,000 employees.

According to Obama the failures in society are a huge success story. Those that are successful failed to do it on their own, and are thus failures. Therefore failure is the new Obama success. The more failures in Obama’s world the better off the country is. He is leading by example. He can’t do anything right but he is succeeding in being the best failure he can be.
