RF Police brought in to deal with suicidal man

Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, police officers were called to 1440 E. Cemetery Road to deal with a man who had a knife and was making suicidal threats. The local man ended up in a confrontation with officers who used a Taser stun gun to try to subdue him. River Falls Police Chief Roger Leque said he and a half-dozen officers were at the scene along with a Pierce County deputy. The man sustained “self-inflicted” stabbing wounds and was taken first to River Falls Area Hospital. Continue Reading
