I suspected that the hotel occupancy of Worthington was low, and it’s nice that Oberloh provided stats and numbers to back it up. We need more honesty and transparency such as this in our local government.
I hope the council uses those facts when they decide on a loan, instead of voting on their wishes.

This is exactly how arguments should be presented, with clear facts and figures to support them. I would agree that, based on this data, it’s not fiscally wise for the city to make further upfront investments in the hotel itself.

I am not from Worthington nor do i have any association with any lodging buisness but doesn’t accepting this loan seem like a slap in the face to the other lodging buisnesses in the city? Im all for the events center but another motel, really??
