I heard the condom vendors who have their stands set up throughout the grounds make enough money this week to spend the winter in Florida.

Does Sonshine pay any rent to City for use of Civic Center or School District for use of grounds and Locker rooms?

I don’t know the answer. Perhaps someone with the city could tell you? Wouldn’t that be public? I would think they should pay something for the water/sewer usage at the very least. Plus, they should be paying the ambulance service for all the equipment and supplies that are used.

I can only speak for the school district, but I do not believe any rent is paid. In fact the agreement when the land was transfered from the City to District 347 stated something about letting the grounds be used with Sonshine so I do not believe the City charges them anything either. However, that is a good question since it is now owned by a for profit entity. The district is reimbursed for the water useage and any damage that would be done to the grounds or building.

So a “for profit” entity owns Sonshine? Maybe that explains why they have in the past charged the High School Softball program fundraiser and expected a cut of all sales even though they were set up in their own building at the Softball Field.
