Local view: Weather is telling us it’s time for serious talks on global warming
July 9, 2012 at 7:00 pm in Duluth News Tribune
The wheels are coming off, but no one is willing to talk about it. The year 2010 was tied for the warmest in history. And 2012 promises to surpass that milestone. Continue Reading

Amen.
What we are experiencing was forecast a few decades ago when climate scientists explained how one of the results of climate change was that the warming of the Earth would put more moisture into the atmosphere. This would result in greater snow in some areas, where it would be heavy and wet, and that rains would come more often in deluges. They explained how the frost dates would change, and that the ice levels would decrease.
When you read about a climate ‘scientists’ questioning the existence of climate change, remember how many ‘doctors’ questioned if cigarettes actually were harmful.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Good point btw. It also doesn’t take science, just common sense…we need clean air and water to survive, both are finite. We’re polluting both and therefor shrinking the very resources we need to survive. Don’t think we are or think we’re not really harming the environment…try to see how long can stand in enclosed space like garage with doors closed and car running.
I think 100 years from now if we’re still here, folks will look back on those denying the harm we’re doing to our environment about the same as we do on those that used to admamently argue that the world was flat.

No rational person doubts the climate changes.
No serious scientist believes we have the wherewithal today to predict what the climate will be like in 10 years. By suggesting we had the science 20 years ago shows you are scientifically illiterate.

In fact all the models have failed to come even close to predicting what we we have today. Actually the word fail is not accurate since they were not invented to predict the future.

2010 was the warmest in history? Really? You have weather records for the entire four billion years that Mother Earth has been around? I suppose before Evil Man showed up on the scene, the weather never fluctuated. The temperature was always just right. It never rained or snowed too much. No heat waves, no cold snaps, no wildfires, no blizzards, no floods. What a utopia it must have been.
People might take you more seriously if you’d drop the alarmist rhetoric and and instead use some moderation to advocate for responsible measures and realistic goals. Mother Earth was here long before we were and she’ll be here long after we’re gone.

So what happened to the two mile thick sheet of ice that covered all of Minnesota? Who caused that ice to melt? There sure where not enough humans around to cause the ice to melt that created the great lakes. Get real! The earth is stilling coming out of the last ice age and before that ice age there were no ice caps on the planet. The planet was covered mostly by forest and grasslands until it went into an ice age. The earth will warm with or without us so stop all this junk science.

You’re not allowed to ask questions not included in the alarmist’s handbook. They can’t honestly answer them, so they’ll ignore them. Shame on you Jalene. NOT!
