A civic center that brings in large events to the area is good for local business. If it can draw people, we could expand on what we have already (shopping, dining, ect.) Alexandria is geographically situated in a good location to be a regional center. We are almost there I think but if this went forward it just might put us over the edge. Not only should local business’ be happy to foot the bill for the study, as it would benefit them, they should also be happy to be a major part of the fundraising if the project should get the green light.
