Spinosad, which is organic, reportedly works on the variegated cutworm. One product containing spinosad is Sluggo Plus. I’m so glad this may be the first and last year we have to put of with them!

Gardeners can find some good information on the St. Louis County website if they go under Departments and then choose Extension Service and then go to the Garden and Lawn page. The St. Louis County horticulturist gives some great tips for dealing with cutworms including organic and non-organic options.
