We would not be having all these problems with our health care system, if we had done what most of the rest of the world has done decades ago. Single Payer, Universal Health Care. We are the last hold out. We pay a much higher amount for our health care than any other country in the world and we still do not cover everyone. People will still be going bankrupt with “Obamacare?
Did you know that Obamacare started life at the conservative Republican Heritage Center think tank. It was a Republican bill until the Democrats took ownership. Also it was mostly written by the major health insurance companies, so why are the Republicans now against it? Even when the health insurance companies will benefit from 30 million new customers.
What do insurance companies add to the value of our health care? Millionaire CEO’s and their bonuses, board of Directors, corporate jets, stock options, 4 highly paid lobbyist for each congress critter. And the list goes on.
How does this contribute to affordable health care? For the slow, it does not. We can do better.
That better is Single Payer, universal Health care.

We pay more for healthcare than most of the rest of the world combined. We spend twice as much on healthcare (as a percentage of GDP) as we do on defense, and we are in the middle of two wars.
We do not get the most bang for our buck. Not by a long shot
