People are getting way too carried away with this. I’m sure the owners of the hookah lounge could fight it to get the right to stay open. Either way, I don’t understand how so many people can get so upset over this. No one is telling you that you can’t smoke, they’re saying you can smoke in designated areas, or your own property. There is no reason why nonsmokers should have to go into a bar/restaurant, etc. and be surrounded by smoke. Plus, I know many people that refuse to go to certain bars just because they still allow smoking. This would give some of these places more business.. I guarantee the smokers will continue to go to the same bars, etc. regardless if there is a smoking ban or not. No one goes to a bar or restaurant to smoke, they go there to eat or drink. And all this talk about bans against fast food etc… c’mon people. We all know that is never going to happen. The public will continue to educate people on healthy habits, but they are never going to outlaw specific foods. Don’t be ridiculous.
