I’ve been back on the Superior Hiking Trail in this area, and can see how dangerous and scary it could be. This still doesn’t release folks for taking responsibility for themselves. To blame the park staff for their misfortune is asinine. I also hope these guys aren’t card-carrying members of the ‘friends of the boundary waters’ group that opposes any improvement in our cell communication in NE MN. That would really be ironic, wouldn’t it.
