I agree with you that this news source will be missed. As for the rest of your jiberish – You’re going to give yourself an ulcer or heart attack with your obsession of finding some way of blaming our President for everything.

I can remember when old channel 7 was the only station to be had in the whole area. And that lasted for a very long time, way past when most markets already had UHF multichannel available.
Still, 7 had some pretty good programming, and the news was about as good as any other station at the time had.
Somehow I doubt very much that President Obama had anything to do with ABC’s decision.

You are probably right about Obama doesn’t have anything to do about this and ABC’s involvement. Unfortunately the same thing can’t be said about NBC…
I grew up with channel 7 being the only station we had until me moved to SD in the early 60′s. We were happy to have what we had at the time. I’m sure they will be missed in the area.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Yes, Wayne, but I suppose it has to be accepted. Times change, and there’s just not all that much news out of west central Minnesota.

Now I wonder if KTCA. 12, is still there. Since we couldn’t get a clear signal from 7, in Redwood, that was the only VHF signal we could get. From Mankato.
Don’t think the big Sioux Falls tower went up until the late ’60′s.

KELO, wasn’t it? That was one that had way better weather coverage than the stations out of the Cities, for SW MN.
