Young Cubs amateur baseball team expects state berth

SALEM Despite the Salem Cubs amateur baseball team’s youth this year, manager Roger Duxbury has no doubt in his mind that his team is going to be able to make it to the state tournament.
The Cubs are 11-5 overall and 10-5 in Cornbelt League action. Duxbury said one of the challenges that come along with being a young team is not being able to bounce back from errors as quickly as some other seasoned baseball players are able to. Continue Reading
