Twisters land near Northwood

Two tornadoes touched down near Northwood, N.D., during a storm that moved through Grand Forks County Wednesday night. One of the twisters caused small-limb damage to shelter belts 6 miles northeast of Northwood while the other broke tree trunks in half and uprooted one tree 7 miles northeast of the town, according to Greg Gust, meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks. Like I said on another post…I really don’t care about this having a place for comments…Maybe there’s locals who saw it and have something to say. My point is that there’s several good articles with some hot topic issues right not that don’t even have a comment section. Articles like this are an interest, but generally there’s not a lot to say about them after they’re read. I have no problem with a commet section, but I was making a point that the Herald is pretty much going with the soft stuff and leaving the more controverseral stuff alone…

The articles i have some serious comments for never have the option available.

But…. to comment on this article, AND to give the Herald an ounce of credit…. I really did like the fact that they opened it up for people to send in their pictures for public viewing.
I hope they continure to do it and next time leave it up for a day or two longer.
The pictures were awesome and so many people in different areas getting different views made it all the better.
Absolutely loved it.
