The East Grand Forks City Council voted Tuesday to seek a state grant that could fund a project to transfer city sewage to Grand Forks for treatment.

The deadline to apply is June 26. Continue Reading

I wonder who would benefit the most out of this sewage connection with grand forks… I’ll bet everyone knows the answer to this question… It’s not going to be East Grand Forks as one might think… There many reasons why it’s not a good idea..
Pipes break all the time.. What if the pipe under the river burst? What would it do the the river?
Who will control the increase in our monthly W&L bill?
It was not a good idea then, and it’s not a good idea now…

Rick: You won’t believe this, but a unitized pipe can be sent under the Red River that will last 100 years, plus!! The general public has no idea how much savings can come from cooperation. Whether you are sharing a land fill, a sewer system or a street sweeper, it’s a no-brainer. It’s sad, but nobody seems to care about this stuff. Mostly, people seem skeptical and opposed to
cooperation. You have so much to learn, but seem unwilling.
