Bill Clinton wasn’t acquitted, he never went to court for his crimes though he was impeached.

Why is baseball a government concern ,let the baseball community deal with the situtation. Baseball regulates the players, that should be sufficent. The government should have more important issues to concern itself with.

The government does, wayne. But it’s so much easier to ‘look good’ by going after a baseball player. Especially since Congress can’t get a damn thing done about anything that IS important. I suppose they have to do something now and then to try to get the people to forget just how rotton they’re doing at their real jobs? No wonder their ratings in the polls are so low.

Makes you wonder why Henry Waxman(D) started all of this doesn’t it.

well, if I recall correctly the main lil problem was his perjury charge … something about lying to Congress that just doesn’t set right with our elected officials, both Republican and Democrat

But he did not lie bac. This was a personal vendette by the left to try and justify their failed investigation. The man volunteered to go before Congress to clear his name, guess old Henry did not like being challenged.

No elton, it doesn’t ‘suck to be me’.
I don’t have to worry about where my next job is coming from.
My property is paid off. (unlike one poster I won’t name)
I have no credit card debt.
My monthly bills amount to less than $500.
Nope, my life don’t suck a bit.
No brag, just fact.

“should be ashamed of themselves.” is a very strong statement!! I wonder who did this? Some people don’t even have a conscience, stiffing the tax payers for defaulting on your home payments?

Since you have already commented about many things about me (inaccurately I might say) a little more libel would just feed the cause bac. Guess it wouldn’t matter if I didn’t post under my real name…

This was just a feeble excuse to go after a high profile player since probably boat loads of professional players from football to basketball took performance supplements, and stereroids for before all of a sudden they banded. Most or all of anything they player used were not illegal, so who was actually in charge of stopping it? The feds wasted time and money when we all knew Roger Clemmons, and other were on juice. The need to compete has become so enhanced in eveything we do its no wonder people are looking for an edge. Growing up we went out and played sports, we didn’t these types of enhancing drugs, but team owners and coaches always looked the other way because they wanted to win and they wanted super players. Having a team doctor also took liability away from coaches and owners. Hey its still a black mark on a brillant pitchers career. Pitchers are so in demand and are so likely to have short careers with arm trouble, that pitchers are willing to do what it takes for that big payday, and they will do what it takes to give them that edge…

Never had to stoop that low Elton, you are watching too many shows its turning your brain to mush. I believe in our justice system, whether or not someone is guilty is merely ones opinion. They couldn’t prove what many knew because of heresay Elton. It is obvious the feds should have saved our money or try prosecuting many major league players who retired or are currently playing who were accused. What does planting evidence have to do with this Elton? Also I could care less if he was convicted, it wasn’t going to change anything, but maybe probation or some short prison time..This is one area where professional teams owners and the league should deal with, especially when many sports figures were on the juice or other supplements over the last several decades.

Elton never gives up when he is losing an opinion, he resorts to tearing someone down. No big deal Elton you have a problem with those who have a reasonable opinion or their opinion doesn’t side with you. Funny how you score many more dislikes then some of us do. This should tell you something Elton, change your attitude, if you don’t know about something then don’t comment unless you can prove what you claim. I am glad to be retired too, dealing with some people like you can really be tough on a guy.

Elton your right, but with you it is possible you take things pretty personal even with an opinion! The right wing agenda you swore by, is the same right wing agenda that failed you, and it shows whenever you comment. Wakeup!
