This can, again, be a nice gem in the crown that is the Duluth Zoo. Granted, in recent years the crown has tarnished a little with the lack of funding and less than professional management. Nationally, our little zoo is known as one of the nicest, old classic style zoos in the U.S. . Support from the public has always been there, in spirit, if not money. Before you donate to some big national charity, rancorous political campaign or perpetual ‘help the poor of (blank) corrupt nation — consider a donation to the Duluth Zoo. Your money will go to a very worthy local feature that brings visitors to our area, and you can go visit what your money helped build. For your hard earned wages, what could be better than that?
