This article is less than accurate. The results in Sioux County probably mean that voters in that county did what the UND coaches and alumni association leaders asked them to do. That is the same in most every county in ND. If this would have been a vote on whether the UND Sioux nickname was popular with the residents of Sioux County, I expect it would have passed 80% to 20% just like it did at Spirit Lake.
