It’s amazing we know all of this data & yet there is a group of deniers who believe there is an unlimited supply of oil available because the Earth’s very deepest layers, below the crust in fact, generate new oil deposits that have nothing to do with plankton/algae deposits in shallow seas. They base their ideas on some mid century Russian geologist who proposed the idea long since debunked. These folks also deny MMGW I guess because if it were true we wouldn’t go after the inexhaustible supply of oil.

Only the Republicans think that way. I am trying to figure out how the ND GOP got that oil there 65,000,000 years ago. You know they put it there because that is what put ND in such good financial shape and the ND GOP lays claim to the success.

So the Williston Basin was formed as a delta of the Missouri River when it emptied into N.Dak.’s & Mont.’s ocean coast. Once uplift of the Great Plains happened the Missouri ends up going into the Mississippi @ St. Louis and the same delta building process now happens @ the mouth of the Miss. in New Orleans thus oil & gas in the Gulf & BP blowouts. just thinking outloud.
