WORTHINGTON With a full house looking on Monday night, the Worthington City Council approved a request from the Park and Recreation Advisory Board to put a sidewalk on property at 620 Lake Avenue in the interest of public safety. Continue Reading

For safety issues, there should be a path off the street around the entire lake and also sidewalks put into place on North McMillian Street and Ryan’s Road. These are high traffic roads for vehicles and pedestrians.
Most every other place in Worthington has sidewalks. Why these areas are exempt is concerning.

I think if the city is going to force home owners to put a sidewalk in front of there home the city should have to maintain it. Also since the city is taking property away from homeowners they should lower the tax amount because that property is no longer the homeowners. Drivers need to just put there phones down and pay attention to where they are driving!
Hot debate. What do you think?

What did we blame accidents on before cell phones?
Of course, roller bladers and bikers, and pedestrians always stay near the curb and never go down the middle of the driving lane. Yes, perfectly innocent pedestrians. They never walk or bike or blade and text or have earplugs in with music on, the can’t hear a car approaching them when they are right up against the curb, as they always are.
Seriously?
I don’t feel safe walking in the road and worry considerably about the safety of those on foot, be it two feet or four, and any age.
Put in city wide sidewalks and grumble like the rest of us when it snows and it’s time to scoop.
