Wow, John, you are quick to judge someone on something you know nothing about. If she “took” anything, the matter would be turned over to the police and it would be public information. And if there was any improper handling of finances, the auditors would have have revealed that instead of praising her efforts to the council on last week. I agree, something is going on if the Finance Director resigns abruptly.
From what I could see, Teresa did some great things for Farmington. She brought transparency in financial reporting to the city when she received the award from the Government Finance Officer’s Association. This was the first time Farmington won this award. After she started, she brought out information that created a big stir when she pointed out many financial issues. If you watch the council meeting from last Monday, just before she quit, you will see that the city’s auditor said great things about her work performance. All of this is public information. Maybe David is trying to hide something and he knew Teresa would do the right thing. You are right, we deserve to know!

its hard not to be cynical these days. it appears that many gov’t. beaurocrats establish their little “kingdoms” and we the taxpayers are supposed to fall in line and kneel to them or else they will make you life misserable. maybe she had enough, or maybe she wanted to change the way of doing things.
How are we to ever know.
