Highway bridges can bridge gaps between parties

In October, Rep. Chip Cravaack, R-Minn., made news by opposing a massive public-works project in a certain district: his own. Even though a high-speed rail line from the Twin Cities to Duluth would create thousands of construction jobs, the project would be too expensive and too inefficient, said Cravaack, whose district includes Duluth. To quote the editorial: “People in both parties already agree that these improvements are needed — even apart from their impact on employment. …
“The most important single step toward a brighter future is to repair our economy as soon as possible. And one of the surest ways to do so is a large and immediate infrastructure refurbishment program.”
There is a lot of truth to this, there IS bi-partisan support for repairing our infrastructure; 30 + bi-partisan jobs bills sent from the House to the Senate prove it. But there are two significant problems, or should I say roadblocks, to the job producing projects these bills address. Number one problem: Barack Hussein Obama – a documented disciple of Cloward & Piven, his intent was never to produce a strong vibrant economy, IT WAS, AND IS, TO DESTROY IT.
‘The Cloward-Piven Strategy’ “…seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse”. In other words, overwhelm the system until it collapses whereupon it can be rebuilt on a socialist/communist model.
Obama’s goal from day one.

The second problem is Harry Reid. For three years he has refused to do his Constitutional duty, and allow a budget to pass the Senate. He has also tabled those 30 + bi-partisan jobs bills the House has sent to him. His reasons are clear. He won’t allow a budget to pass because it forces the CR’s (Continuing Resolutions) thus maintaining the “base line budgeting” that continues the automatic 7-9% growth of government , giving them the constant “need” to increase the debt ceiling. He also refuses to allow the jobs legislation onto the Senate floor, because he knows many of his Democrat Senators are extremely vulnerable come November, and he doesn’t want to give them the opportunity to have to vote to pass legislation that would likely spur a turn around of our failing economy, thus thwarting Obama’s desire to destroy it, and he relies on the ignorance and apathy of an electorate that has become increasingly dependent on the government for its livelihood.
Come November 2012, the salvation of this nation truly rests on sending Obama packing, and retire Reid as Majority leader in the Senate.
Our freedom and prosperity are at stake!

Juan, you’ve obviously no idea what you’re talking about whatsoever.
If you did just a bit of on-line research, you’d discover that it’s the congressional republicans that are roadblocking any significant economic recovery and for one reason: They are still riled that a dark-skinned Democrat defeated their war-hero McCain and his voluptuous VP pick, Caribou Barbie.
Just check out how often the the republicans have utilized filibusters and other obstructing tactics to prevent meaningful economic and job-creating policy presented by the Obama administration.
As Mitch McConnell stated, his (and his republican minions) number one priority is to do whatever is necessary to ensure Obama is a one-term president, even if it means damaging the national economy and keeping millions unemployed. And that is the very definition of treason.

Rebel, You tend to damage what credibility you have when you respond to another posters opinion by starting your post with “Juan, you’ve obviously no idea what you’re talking about whatsoever”

I agree. I really should have edited my opening comment before submitting.
But it still holds indisputably true that it is the congressional republicans who are purposely obstructing economic recovery in an attempt to dishonestly project the blame on Obama.

Rebel, indisputably true would suggest that your opinion is without dispute. I would suggest that most every point of view in the political realm is disputable. I think there are those who would dispute that George Bush was the cause of Pres. Obama’s errant judgments’ in the first years. Now you say it’s the “Darn Republicans ” making him look bad by projecting blame on him in the last years of his first term. Is it possible that the Republican leaders are not willing the include all the “Pork barrel spending” the Pres and Democrats want to include in the infrastructure bill and would rather include theirs?
POLITICS = DISPUTE
