Obama should be able to run on his accomplishments and spend less time then his opponent and actually spend more time on doing his job. This country does not have time for the President to be totally focused on campaigning and fundraising.
He is a great campaigner and fundraiser but stinks as President. The people will continue to see that as the economy continues to slide while he plays his fiddle.

If the counters would count all the unemployed that have just given up , the unemployment would be over 20%. Worse than even in our History.

Once again bac Obama escalated the war in Afganistan. President Bush wound the war down, Obama cranked it back up again. Soldiers are now dieing because of Obama’s pride.
Obama owns the war in Afganistan. Obama owns the problems in the Middle East. Obama owns the economy. Obama owns unemployment.
Until he takes ownership and stops making lame excuses nothing will get fixed. Time for Obama to leave and bring in someone who can do the job.

My only problem with this whole conversation, and I say this as an Independent, is that President Bush campaigned as much as President Obama (yes I will use full terminology, I feel the office deserves that respect) … and one might say that President Bush shouldn’t have campaigned then because he should have spent all his time at the White House concerned about terrorism … it still goes both ways. If we lived in a perfect world with 0% unemployment, 0% taxes, everyone loved life, and we all sang kum by ah (ok no idea how to spell that) around the camp fire, both sides would greatly dislike each other. I don’t use the word hate because honestly, we shouldn’t be hating each other … you can hate someones politics, but unless they have personally done you wrong (stole your dog or something like that) then you just shouldn’t hate a person! IMHO

I am sure you justification for Obama spending so much time campaigning is a comfort to the unemployed, the under employed, and the college students who are unable to find jobs.
The issue is while he is campaigning he is not doing his job as President. Since he has started campaigning the economy has taken a down turn and he is telling us we all need to go out and buy a “thingamagig” to stimulate the economy. Of course that is just his way of saying once again it is not my fault, you need to go out and spend money you don’t have to get things back on track.
His whole solution to the problems this nation faces is it isn’t his fault so don’t expect him to fix them anytime soon. He is putting himself before the country.

Men and women who have served in our military, fighting wars, are in fact coming home in large numbers. Encouraging employers to hire veterans is not simply campaign fodder – it’s good, common sense; it’s a responsible and important message to send. I would expect ANY President – republican or democrat, to send the same message out.

Yeah! A little bit of our own “terror from the skies”! They don’t know where it’s coming from or when, and they’re scared to death to take any kind of leadership role, much less just be involved. Reports have been coming out that the money, food, munitions and training have been dried up for over a year.
And we’re saving money and the lives of our kids and doing great damage to the people responsible for everythng from 9/11 to the Cole bombing to Lockerbie!
But, I guess that’s not good enough for some who have other agendas…

Bac, would you think it out of line for one of those opposed to BO to call him by a different name? You seem intent on being disrespectful of past Presidents, but if someone is against BO you get bent out of shape. If you expect others to respect the President, no matter who it is, set an example. Our young people need to see adults around them, showing respect to leaders. It’s no wonder there is so much lack of respect by our young people, when they see adults failing to show it.

OMG, you do know that Obama made a hugh mistake in ramping up the war in Afganistan!!
Now that you admit it why do you think Obama put our trops back into a failing situation knowing is going to cost American lives? Why didn’t he learn from all the other failed occupations over the centuries? Why does he insist on creating his own Vietnam?
