Now if only people would buy fair trade organic brands that are shade grown to preserve bird habitat we would be even better off.

I would if I knew what they were and where to find them.

Sometimes you can find them at Caribou & Starbucks branded that way. Target carries those brands to some extent. Sometimes the local health food store has them.

Fair trade just refers to sourcing the beans from farmers that are paid a living wage.

Interesting…I’m going to see if I can find some. I’ve got a flock of Monarch butterflies visiting my gardens this weekend and the bees are hanging around my iris’s. To me it’s an honor for them chose my yard. I dread when the city sprays for mosquitos but what do you do.

This is one of my favorit Big Scare tactics after a study years ago. Many people either switched to tea or that totally useless decaf (Like switching to plastic fruit to substitute the real thing). Now years later not only was the original study not quite right, but apparently the big bad coffe is actually good for us. These are the very things that make us generally thing “Ya Right” whenever they roll out a new study to tell us how bad something we do, eat, or drink is. Much like that old Woddy Allen movie where he’s thawed after being frozen a few hundred years and finds people were eating basically everything that was supposed to be bad for them. When he asked about it they basically said…”Ya…Those studies turned out to have insufficiant data and were eventually found to be wrong”……A joke at the time…But it keeps coming true…..Come on red meat and sweets….We’re pulling for you…

The movie was “Sleeper.” Hillarious. They ran a tape of Howard Cosell and he told them it was a form of punishment. “That’s what we thought.”

Damn you’ve got a good memory. It’s been many years since I saw that. I forgot all about the Cosell bit. Maybe it’ll be on Encore so I can put it on the DVR.
Of cours the all time best was when he was pretending to be a robot and was passing that sphere thing that got them high. Probably wouldn’t be as funny to people today as it was in the early 70′s, but it was funny as hell back then.

His comedies were incredible. My favorite is “Love and Death.” Laughed so hard I literally fell out the seat into the aisle.
