Aren’t there still places to institutionalize the criminally insane? If freely left to his own devices in society, it’s only a matter of time before we see this man’s name in the news again.
They could choose to revoke his probation and finish his sentence. They could choose instead to have him committed to the state sex offender treatment program, a locked door facility. There would be no set time if he were sent there as they can keep him until he is deemed ready to live in general society again if ever.
It’s a tough situation legally. He’s probably doen enough to revoke parol to some extent, but it doesn’t appear that he’s done enough to do anything further. I don’t know what those new laws have in them, but they still must work within the constitution so there’s probably not enough to actually sentence him beyond his violation.
It’s one of those deals like a restraining order where even though someone knows the person with the order will eventually do something…The law can’t arrest on hunches…..Hell…We’d oprobably all be arrested sooner or later if they could do that……
In biblical days people would have said that he was possessed by a demon. We have different labels now, but demon-possessed still seems appropriate. I wish I could be assured that he is an extremely rare bird, but I wonder how many others like him, only looking more normal, are among us.
There’s a simple way to give them the death penalty without giving it to them directly….No longer house them seperately, but in general population…..Maybe not so much in ND. They’s still get crippled most likely, but in other states they wouldn’t live long.
If they actually did the crime then I like the small bit of justice when they get to feel the terror that they inflicted on somebody weaker. However; Our legal system screws the pooch a lot so in a lot of cases across the boards you often can’t be 100% sure the right person is convicted. Until they fix the system it’s tough to be ok with the death penalty. There’s also the other side effect of molesters knowing they’re facing death rather than life….More childern will die too if they figure it’s the only way to assure they’re not caught. It’s definately not a black and white issue even though we’d like it to be
Sounds like a perfect candidate for a life behind bars nothing this guy is up to has any contribution to society.

Why aren’t convicted level 3 sex offenders eligible for the death penalty?
Why do we let them out into the world when we know they will reoffend? Because we trust the police to watch them?
Hurting an innocent child is right up there will murder in my book. Make child molesting a death penalty crime!!!!!!!!!
