WHY is it called “Choice” fitness, when the voters were never asked if we wanted it; and most of the arrangements were conducted in secret? The whole thing was shoved down our throats in true Grand Forks City Government fashion.
“The Park District is handing over ownership of the building’s 60,000 square feet to the gymnastics club.”
If the Gymnastics club–and not the City–is going to own the building, can I assume that the taxpayers won’t have to provide further funding? (I think we know better…)

I think we should welcome this with open arms seeing that there are no other fitness clubs in Grand Forks. Wait, what did you say? Oh, nevermind…

That’s what they said about the Alerux Center. “It will pay for itself”. I don’t think 6,000 people are going to join the Wellness Center at almost $100.00 a month membership fee. That’s when the residents of Grand Forks will have to pitch in to pay the bills. We’ve seen this movie before.

Fine. You tell me how much their property tax bill is. The friggin’ place is huge enough to blot out the sun. HOW MUCH ARE THEY PAYING?
You think the taxpayer-supported Park Board isn’t part of the “sponsorship”?
