   So you’re saying it’s Walkers fault? The guy escaped from a minimum security lockup. He was a non-violent offender who was serving a short sentence, but when caught will be facing much more time in a higher security jail. I don’t think this guy thought this through.
   If this is due to budget cuts as you seem to think, how about citing even one example to support your thesis?

  I didn’t see any reference to Walker in the prior statement? As far as I know the WI DOC has been downsizing and losing money for years – there is also a space issue that some would say started with Truth in Sentencing. All of which started WAY before Walker took office.
