Why is your best guess a $1.2 million will be cut from your budget? Measure 2 eliminates property tax and dollar for dollar the property tax revenue is replaced by the other taxes we are paying and being collected. So why would you have to cut $1.2 million dollars? The school lands trust has almost doubled from 900 million to $1.7 BILLION. Why are you NOT applying for a grant from this fund, isn’t this what it is for? Go to land.nd.gov and look for the report ending in 20111. Measure 2 puts school funding FIRST, How do you figure you have to cut ? Is the $1.2 million just added in just to say you have to take it out? Schools are first in Measure 2 and our to be funded fully and properly. I think you have got the priorities of Measure 2 WRONG! Schools are funded first with Measure 2. Vote YesM2.com
