EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (WDAZ-TV) – The new Fantasy’s Store in East Grand Forks opened very quickly and quietly on Monday.
In about 24 hours Kim and Jim Patterson went from opening the brand new store to nearly being arrested for opening the business under the city’s radar. Continue Reading

Leave them alone. Now they have their permit I think people should just let them run their business. There is no shame in their store. I too consider myself Christian but I do not think there is any shame in their business. I think the Pattersons know how to run their business and will not let kids hang around. Just because there are two schools near by does not mean kids are going to suffer trauma from seeing a nighty hanging on a rack. Personally glad they are here….tax base wise and personally!!

Arresting people like Kim and Jim is over reaching the law.. Yea tell me what is so criminal of starting a new business.. Maybe they overlooked the details.. The part I’m complaining about is the opportunity to collect taxes in any community.. Throw that away.. It would be called a prude city..
Do you all remember the Plain Brown Wrapper store that moved in? What a war that was..

Ok, a pot smoking shop can open across the street from the high school, but a lingerie store opens in an industrial area, and the sky starts falling. I don’t recall any notice when Mellow Moods opened…I guess we’ll skirt around local taxes and buy online.

The building they are has been vacant for 15 years, except for the month or two a tattoo place was in there …they should be happy to have something there now….I think a tattoo parlor brings in creepier people than a lingerie store

Who else gets visited by the police chief and city administrator for a building permit violation? Usually it’s just the building inspector…I’ve never heard of anyone threatened with jail time on their first notice of a building permit violation…it appears like the govt is trying to encourage trouble.

You can certainly tell if a business is trashy when it has to try to open below everyones radar…..it shows their lack of respect for the community and its laws…..yes they moved away from the Grand Forks elementary school…but now they moved a couple blocks from the areas two christian schools? are they stupid or what?

Where are all the conservatives who believe that government should stay out of business? Why aren’t they crying foul at this point?
