Smell something fishy? Too bad that this promotee has been so involved with the city council. Some might think that there are integrity and favoritism issues lurking about given the choice made. A deep hole has become even deeper for this candidate, even though he won promotion. Is local government in this small town corrupt? Is the citizenry able to trust the city council and its local law enforcement?

I have known Chad for a number of years. I am not from Osakis, but one would hope that a person who is on the local police force and is considering a position such as Chief of Police WOULD be involved in the affairs/meetings of the City Council, if possible. I agree there is corruption in even lower level politics; however, I don’t agree that this is one of those cases.
Congratulations to the City of Osakis and its new Chief!
