If you homeschool it means you go off the grid and sew up denim jumpers? Am I the only one who finds the stereotye in the opening paragraph to be akward – maybe even offensive?

I agree with Duluthian 3. I was extremely offended by it. Has this writer ever met someone that home schools? I know a few and these women are amazing. It seems like she’s (the writer) is just perpetuating a stereotype for a quick laugh in the beginning of her article. That type of writing is kind of lazy. And I’m sure these comments will probably be brushed off with “hey it’s just a joke.” Apparently she doesn’t know her readership.
