I won’t be there, as I don’t need the government to tell me as a woman I’m equal to everyone else. I KNOW I’m equal, and I live my life and work hard to fulfill my dreams.
Dem attitude: you’re not equal, but if WE make you equal by having government make you equal, then you will be equal. And don’t worry, if you don’t want to be equal, we (the government) will give you FREE STUFF to make you feel equal (and please ignore the fact 40 cents of every dollar of free stuff you enjoy is being paid by China, et al….Mandarin will probably be taught in pre-K by the time your grandkids hit school age and they’ll learn to like communist-style capitalism.)
Repub attitude: You’ve been given the right, through our Constitution and Bill of Rights, to become the best, wealthiest person you can be. How hard do you want to work for it? Are you willing to take the risks to “get ahead”?
I question the income stats used by National Partnership for Women & Families in this press release. I’ve seen other studies that took into account job longevity and careers that showed different outcomes. But think about it. Which college degree pays more, the male dominated engineering field, or the womyns studies grad who is doing…what?
