100 years ago, 1912
One of the matters of vital importance to the people of this area for some time is the progress being made to improve the roadway from Duluth to Port Arthur, Canada. What has become known as the North Shore road may soon be realized with news from Mr. Chris Murphy, auditor of Cook County, advising that the validity of their $60,000 bond issue had been dismissed from the Supreme court thus assuring the construction.
