School board considers bus leasing option

I am trying to sort things out, here, and having problems, re the bus leasing. Over two hundred thousand a year every year for the leasing scheme, compard with projected layout of 170 thousand per year for buying buses. There are other factors of course, but one of the significant issues is the likely loss of good paying jobs for mechanics and one or more drivers as part of this same action. Or am I missing something?
More information is needed than is in this story. I hope the board has complete information.
