Probably an unfortunate development for the people of Devils Lake. It sure won’t help on prices- groceries there are already quite expensive in comparison to Grand Forks. I was visiting friends there, and a quick trip to the grocery store led to sticker shock on a lot of items. Of course, I’m sure now that they have a monopoly on the local market, Leevers will lower prices just to be nice. Ha.

Around 25 years ago, Red Owl pulled out of DL. Wally’s and Leevers were then the flagship grocery stores.
Hopefully, another grocery store will move in. Competition is needed.
