UND said Friday that it will present honorary degrees to U.S. Sen. Kent Conrad; Mary Wakefield, a top federal health care official who once worked at the university; and businessman B. John Barry. The announcement was made after the State Board of Higher Education approved of the degrees on Thursday. The three will receive their Doctor of Letters degrees as early as May 12, when UND holds its spring general commencement at Grand Forks’ Alerus Center. Continue Reading

Gene, so true…or titled “How to not Produce a Budget and then Point Fingers at the Repubs”, or “I am a Fiscal Hawk yet the Country is $15,000,000,000,000 is debt and I had Nothing to do with it”.

Notice the only articles in the Herald on Conrad are those which praise him. No mention of the fact he claims an apartment in Bismarck as his ND residence, yet actually lives in a Georgetown brownstone and Delaware beach house. Never any mention of the Countrywide loan that got him that beach house. No mention of his failure to come up with a budget in three years.
