Wow, Darrell is quite a pig.
Crazy, to think that marriage is not important to adults who are not of child-rearing ages. My God he is a flat-out pig!!! Keep flapping your trap, Chuck, you’re just wrecking it for your side.

I guess people see what they want to see in this debate..
Randy, That’s not how I read Mr. Darrell’s comments at all.
But your response says a lot.

I’m not sure what research Darrell is talking about, maybe something from the 1950′s? Most current research demonstrates what is well articulated in a report from the American Academy of Pediatrics: “A growing body of scientific literature demonstrates that children who grow up with 1 or 2 gay and/or lesbian parents fare as well in emotional, cognitive, social, and sexual functioning as do children whose parents are heterosexual. Children’s optimal development seems to be influenced more by the nature of the relationships and interactions within the family unit than by the particular structural form it takes.” I mean, if he wants me to take his argument seriously he’s going to have to do much better than referencing antiquated ideas and calling it research and statistics. Thinking the question of same sex marriages will be answered at the voting both is as much a pipe dream as an honest politician. What will happen, much like the miscegenation laws, is that it will eventually end up in the hands of the Supreme Court and with any luck the judges, like the 9 “activist judges” before them that struck down the miscegenation laws in 1967, will for once and all put an end to the absurdity and uphold the rights of the individual.
