Why does he belong in jail? According to law he did nothing wrong. The law was written just for this type of circumstance when you are being attacked and need to defend yourself. You claim to be a former policeman, if so, why do you not understand and support this persons legal rights? Or is this how you acted as a cop?

Really purplegirl? What do you base that on? According to the 911 call Mr Zimmerman ceased following Martin when he was told he did not need to pursue him. Mr Zimmerman was returning to his truck when he was attacked by Martin.
Mr Zimmerman said that Martin was just walking home from the convience store? Would love to see a link to that statement, can you provide one?

Zimmerman states he stopped following Martin when he was instructed too. He was returning to his truck when he was confronted and attacked by Martin.
“The teen wasn’t armed, or did he break Zimmermans nose, or hit his head against the pavement.”
How do you explain the injuries Zimmerman suffered?
“Martin was not committing any crimes, the teen was eating skittles and drinking apple juice so how was his hands in his pants?”
He went to the store to get some snacks and was headed home with the snacks. Where did you see that he was actually eating the food?
“Zimmerman stereotyped the teen, then followed him before shooting him.”
Someone in a hoodie at night walking through a neighborhood will be watched. “Stereotyped”? You bet. Much as a officer of the law would do if someone called and said there was someone suspicious walking through the neighborhood. Or do you think they would focus on somebody taking their dog for a walk?
“I once arrested a homeowner who chased a burglar off his property then shot him in the back. Stand your ground may have helped the homeowner then, but in MN you cannot shoot someone in the back who is running away, and poses no threat to you anymore. ”
Same goes for “stand your ground” so whats your point?
“This teen was walking home and based on the evidence and what took place I would have arrested Zimmerman myself.”
What evidence are you speaking of jimmy? Accusations being made by people who weren’t there or did not see anything?

Elton this is not about right or left it is about a an overzealous neighborhood watch captain bully, who had a criminal history and should have not been allowed to carry a firearm. Race has nothing to do with my position. You and other liberals are the ones making the racist comments, not me. His “criminal” record does not prevent him from getting a gun permit. If he was attacked like he stated he had every right to shoot Martin. There is no proof that it did not happen the way Zimmerman said.
It worries that someone who claims to have been a police officer would be so quick to ignore the rights of Zimmerman. I do hope you are no longer in that position.

What would you call a Black President who…
-Speaks out about the shooting death of a Black teenager by a White-skinned Hispanic neighborhood watch commander – before the facts are all in and can be evaluated – by sympathetically saying “If I had a son it would look like the Black teenager”;
-has never spoken out about the 8,000 or so young Black men who are killed by other young Black men every year: neither about the total number of killings nor any individual killing;
-has never spoken out about the fact that there are almost 3 times as many Blacks who kill Whites (8.8%) as there are Whites who kill Blacks (3.2%) each year;
-and has not spoken out about a Black hate group putting a $10,000 bounty on the head of the White-skinned Hispanic shooter, “dead or alive”. not a word of criticism, not a word of condemnation, no order that the Department of Justice arrest the leaders of the hate group; nothing at all?
Would you have a name to describe such a President?

Obama doesn’t care about Trayvon Martin, he cares about staying in office for another term. Angela Corey doesn’t care about Trayvon Martin, she built her career on running people like him through the system on dubious grounds. What she cares about is climbing up the ladder, getting her greasy little hands on some of that government money and becoming a bigger boss in the government crime syndicate.
Angela Corey, a cynical creature of the political-judicial system, is the perfect front-woman for the charade. When it’s convenient she charges a 12 year old as an adult. When it’s convenient she will dodge the jury and beamingly declare unsupportable charges against Zimmerman. It doesn’t even matter whether she wins or loses. Her career wins either way. If she loses, she claims racial bias by the jury.
It’s perfect and perfectly corrupt. It’s the way we live now.

Sure would hate to see citizens have to just lay there and get the crap beat out of them just because some liberal doesn’t like people having guns. This case reinforces the need for the “stand your ground” law and no matter what court it goes to it will not be knocked down.
The 2nd amendment will be upheld no matter what a bunch of liberals wish.
