More big-government intrusion fueled by busybodies who have no regard for traditional American values such as the right to privacy, and the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty. This is a harsh blow to the Fourth Amendment, a person must agree to a “search” for alcohol without a warrant having been issued–every time they get behind the wheel.
Mandatory seat belt interlocks of the middle-’70′s were so hated that the citizens forced the government to stop requiring them. This will be no different; except for the size and budget of the special-interest-group that’s demanding to be allowed access to your vehicle.
Don’t forget who’s going to be paying for this monstrosity–the car buyer!
