Honest question. Why is it that we can comment on some articles, but not all articles?
For example, I can sit here and expound on how Will Munger and his people did a great job of turning the campground into a money maker, but have failed to continue to move forward for years leaving themselves open to competition for the city contract.
But I can’t go on the article about synthetic pot and mention how ridiculous it is that we’re forced to deal with synthetic chemicals which are causing all kinds of addiction, medical, and violence issues while the natural plant they are trying to replace is highly illegal even though its completely innoucous and causes no community issues (outside of complications from its illegality.)
Either way, Williard thanks for doing such a great job with the campground and Charlie good luck taking it to the next level.

It would be lovely to spend a lazy afternoon at the campsite smoking a bowl or two of good weed. The real stuff, of course.

The two thumbs down on Jeff’s comment are ironic as, given the statistics, they are most likely coming from individuals who have no problem with drinking.

I have to agree with Charlie. The St Louis River is probably my favorite area for hiking, photographing, walking, camping, etc. In between out of town camping trips, we do a lot of in town camping and campgrounds on/near the river are our first choice.

Perhaps he can convince the city to do something about the HRA housing across from the Munger Trail parking lot that likes to dump their trash in the street, and let it blow around the neighborhood. One of the duplexes over there looks like it is the remnants of a nuclear holocaust, and they’ve taken to “renting out” a campsite that they’ve carved out of city land.
That gives me an idea. I’m a taxpayer. They live in taxpayer housing, where’s my rent money?
Can’t imagine it leaves a pleasant impression on visitors to the city, let alone how the neighbors must feel. And I should know. I live right next door to them.
And if you have HRA neighbors that are giving you a hard time enjoying your bought and paid for slice of the American Dream, don’t bother trying to resolve it with the public servants at HRA. They just don’t care.
And the city wonders why no one wants to live here anymore?
