Yes, the Republicans are learning to use some democrat tactics. Some may not agree with it, but at least it keeps the playing field level.

No, Republicans are playing by the rules. This is totally within the law. Using “fake” candidates is not the same as the dems using fake voters.

I wonder how the Democratic candidates can respond to this school district survey that demonstrates the positive effect of Walker’s collective bargaining reform?
Unfortunately, WEAC conducted the previous year surveys, and for some reason “lost” three years of data when they went paperless.
Shame, shame, shame on all the good teachers who belong to this union and tolerate this kind of deciptive, manipulative actions by their unions….do you like what you pay for? If you don’t like it, but tolerate this behavior, what am I supposed to think of you? Read the linked article for the details.

I apologize, I got my acronyms mixed up. It was WASDA (Wi Assoc of School District Administraters) that went paperless and “lost” 3 years of data, not WEAC.
But if you read the article, WEAC sorta doesn’t cooperate by sharing data (although the data was found).

I wonder what Falk, Barrett, La Follett and Vinehout think about judges who violate judicial ethics?
“Partisan judges in Dane County? Say it ain’t so!
The Wisconsin Club for Growth says Madison-based Judge Wm Conley, who ruled that the state must collect union dues, was a longtime campaign contributor to such Democrats as Jim Doyle, Kathleen Falk, and Supreme Court liberals like Shirley Abrahamson and Louis Butler. All done as a lawyer in private practice and, therefore, legal.
“What really caught our eye was a July 28, 2011 contribution to Sandy Pasch in the 2011 recall election against State Senator Alberta Darling,” made 16 months after his confirmation as a federal judge in apparent violation of judicial ethics (see Canon 5).”

“Scott Walker Quietly Repeals Wisconsin Equal Pay Law ”
What a headline! (when you copy, you really should put quotes around the material.)
After reading a linked article in your linked article, the truth oozes out:
In 2009, the Democrats changed existing law on the PROCESS to file a wage discrimination lawsuit.
WI business said thay felt the 2009 law change left the door open for frivolous lawuits.
No one, through Feb., 2012, had filed a lawsuit under the 2009 law change. Republicans in 2012 basically wasted time changing a law back to what the Democrats wasted time in 2009 changing. Darn good reason to keep politicians out of Madison (and Washington).
What I don’t get: how in the world can a process bill be tied to equal pay (and one than must wonder: UNEQUAL pay)? An article in your linked article claims the 2009 bill increased female median earnings 3% . I’d love to see that study and learn how the 2009 bill was…the one, the only….reason for median pay increase. (so many variables leaves me wondering how deep the bs could be….)
Shouldn’t unequally paid men be protesting over unequal pay? Shouldn’t the women who make more than men in any job offer to take a lower salary? what do you think Alice?

Details on the “war on woman” the Democrats try to sell: (hint, truth isn’t found in the headline Alice copied)
This blog writer explains it better than I can:
“Wisconsin governor Scott Walker signed a number of bills yesterday, including a bill that repeals a bill passed just three years ago that goes by the name of the “Equal Pay Enforcement Act.” That bill had increased the kinds of damages allowable in employment law cases under Wisconsin state law. Now Wisconsin is back to the employment law regime that it had in place for the sixty-five or so years before 2009. So Walker has sent Wisconsin employment law back to the dark days of the early Obama years.
As I previously explained in a couple of posts, many people have mistakenly claimed that this bill eliminates the requirement of equal pay for women in Wisconsin, or that it eliminates the enforcement mechanism of the equal pay law. That is false. This bill has nothing to do with equal pay, and nothing specifically to do with discrimination against women. It applies to all employment discrimination claims.
This mistake is surely caused by the curious title of the bill being repealed, the “Equal Pay Enforcement Act,” which calls to mind the federal “Equal Pay Act” which does enshrine the principle of equal pay for equal work. But the federal Equal Pay Act and the Wisconsin Equal Pay Enforcement Act actually had nothing to do with each other, and equal pay for equal work remains the law in Wisconsin.
Still, if you search for commentary today on Walker signing the repeal bill, you will find much false rhetoric that Walker has somehow repealed the principle of equal pay for equal work in Wisconsin, or that this bill is a step back for women’s rights. For example, Democratic candidate for governor Kathleen Falk says Walker has “turned back the clock for women across Wisconsin.” Again, he’s turned the clock all the way back to the bad old days of 2009….”

bac, after you checked out Althouse in Wiki, did you check out her blog? She’s voted democrat but what sets her apart is her “cruel neutrality” in searching for the truth (in case you don’t understand, she’ll take on ALL sides while looking for honesty).
Althouse is a UW law prof and one of her classes is on the US Constitution. She dissects relavent topics (such as the obamacare SC oral arguments) with that teaching knife…I’ve learned a lot about the Constitution from her posts.
She also has great commenters, both who agree and disagree with her. She has some rules for commenters while at the same time tolerating free speech.
She, and husband, also provided the BEST coverage of the Madison protests in 2011. And today I see she posted on what Alice is so upset about… the “Equal Pay Act”. Althouse explained her no opinion, but a commenter linked to his blog which showed the Democrat uproar is just another staged, dishonest, uproar in the War on Walker.
Why don’t you comment on althouse bac?

Well if I’m talking to myself Alice, why are you listening?
Does it bother you to have been indoctrinated by progressive media? You don’t seem to question anything, just copy/paste what you’re being fed. Alinsky taught, “any means justifies the end”; that includes lying, deceit, twisting the truth, withholding information. You’re a very good indoctrinated messenger.
Still doing the grade school taunting I see…well, seeing that level of maturity helps explain your gullibility accepting the HuffPo headline as truth.

WHAT, pray tell, voice of reason? I have seen NOTHING, not ONE factual argument from either of you that can’t be beat down with REAL facts. Alice, you are nothing more than a DNC talking point. You offer not ONE original thought unless its ripping someone (i.e. “chump”) posting an article with no explaination other than “Walker screwing us again”. Why not honestly explain your view on things and having healthy debate? Somewhere in between the right and left hyperbole if the truth. Walker has done precisely what he said he would do. Are you as strongly opposed to what Obama has done (more precisely, NOT done) as you are opposed to Walker?
The FACTS are the union thugs care NOTHING about the tax payer, only what they can get for their measly 10% members and more importantly, themselves. MANY school districts AND their taxpayers have benefitted from the Walker administration.
I’ll save you some time from posting hyperbole: Walker is in bed with big business, Walker is in bed with the Koch Brothers, the unions are the only ones that care about the kids. Oh, and Walker hates women.

The heart of a liberal/progressive. You’re wrong if you don’t agree with me.
I won’t get into the name calling, you have that covered on this forum.
Happy Passover/Easter Alice. Of course, I’m sure you don’t believe in a divine deity as most progressives, much like yourself, are too self-important and righteous to believe in anything they can’t see.
You’re not right on everything…as soon as you believe that, we can have a political debate…but, like most libs, you THINK your always right.
You do make me laugh though…you have no idea how silly your comments read.

Alice and bac,
check out this Althouse post and the comments. Good discussion about WI politics, the Democrat “War on Women” being played out in the Falk-Barrett race, commenter’s practical solutions (/sarc) to “Walker’s War on Women” (the bill changing the bizarrely named Equal Pay Law) and even a few comments on the Rush – Fluck controversy that isn’t serving the Dems interest very well. Some of the comments had me laughing…and no one has called anyone a “chump”! (so far)

The TRUTH about the sources Alice mentions…when Open Society Institute (George Soros) partially funds this organization, how non-partisian is it?
“The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) was founded in 1981 for the specific purpose of analyzing the impact of federal budget priorities and proposed tax policies on America’s poor. Since the 1990s the organization has broadened its focus to include also state budgets and their implications “both for low-income populations and for the nation as a whole…
Reasoning from the premise that tax cuts generally help only the wealthy, CBPP advocates greater tax expenditures on social welfare programs for low earners. ..
CBPP coordinates the State Fiscal Analysis Initiative, a network of state policy research organizations in 29 states committed “to rigorous policy analysis, responsible budget and tax policies, [with] a particular focus on the needs of low- and moderate-income families.” Member organizations include groups that regularly advocate increased government spending on the environment, higher wages for workers, and universal health care…
CBPP is a member organization of the Moving Ideas Network (MIN), a coalition of more than 250 leftwing activist organizations working to develop and disseminate progressive policy and advocacy recommendations…”

BTW, giving a group name without linking to the specific article is nothing but sloppy work. Explain to me how a state budget shortfall is linked to ONLY CB or no CB for PEs? So many variables to account for, except when a group WANTS a specific outcome.

whoa….another Soros funded group…
“Promotes the values of “progressivism,” which it defines as the belief that government must play an active role in ensuring the well-being of all Americans
Emphasizes the importance of “public investments” in “infrastructure,” “education,” “innovation,” and “health systems”
Called for allowing the Bush-era tax cuts to expire in 2010
Favors a single-payer, government-run healthcare system
Advocates comprehensive immigration reform
Total revenues in 2009: $7,845,801
Net assets as of 2009: $5,738,896. ..”

This EPI report has been out for over a year. There is a more recent report by a couple of economists (?) that looked at more than education and work experience when comparing government and private sector wages. When those other variables (such as job stability) were factored in, public employees grossed more than comparable private sector employees. I have to look more, but I’ll find the report and post the link (not ONLY copy the part that supports my position.)
BTW, why aren’t the 99% going after EPI to share the wealth?

I briefly looked at the EPI website for the article you copied from Alice, couldn’t find it, although I was distracted by the articles from Think Progress, etc. If I remember correctly, the EPI study compared federal and private sector employee compensation, not state and private (too bad you didn’t bother linking to your copied article.)
This 39-page study of federal and private job compensation concluded on pages 36-37 with:
“…Using standard econometric methods, we find that federal workers receive salaries about 14 percent above those paid to similar private sector workers and benefits around 63 percent more generous per dollar of salary than those paid in large private sector firms. The greater job security enjoyed by federal government employees is equivalent to a compensation increase of around 17 percent. Together, these generate an overall federal compensation premium of approximately 61 percent…”

Nope, no need for Voter ID: http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/04/09/Okeefe-Holder
Bring whoever you want to the polls Alice. All they have to do is have a Johnson, Anderson, Swanson or Swenson last name in Wisconsin and I’m sure they can vote.
Do you think most the bus in voters the libs employ come from Illinois or Iowa? I mean both are relatively close to Dane County. Which stay do you prefer to bring illegal voters in from Alice?

Thanks for the link Walter…priceless.
It’s almost unbelievable a white guy can walk into the correct poll place, give Eric Holder’s name and address, and the poll worker says, “sign here” and you can vote. From the clip it sounds like O’Keefe and Project Veritas went around Washington, DC claiming to be celebrity politicians and no one challenged the ID of the person.
And the jaw dropper: no ID needed to vote, but you can not get into the Dept. of Justice building without showing ID….
Why are Democrats so afraid of assuring a legal vote?
