MARILYN HAGERTY: Messages are good, bad and ugly when you go viral
March 24, 2012 at 3:50 pm in Grand Forks Herald
“You are a dolt and the main reason why North Dakota is viewed as being a backwoods dump. The Olive Garden is the McDonald’s of dining…A touch of Europe? Ha! Why don’t you take a vacation and visit New York or San Francisco and see what real people eat?” That was one of the emails I received when I started going viral a couple weeks ago. Anyone that would send you a nasty e-mail has issues Marilyn. It’s just not a very nice thing to do. Whoever did so must have a sad life. I feel a little sorry for them.

Truly pathetic to attack this (apparently) very nice lady. That said, ForumComm has taken this story FAR BEYOND its expiration date.

I would like to make a couple of comments on marylyn H. Post. I will repost it below. I have been in both New York and San Fransisco, and I still ate at a Mc Donalds. and why people think that just because your from North Dakota or northern Minnesota that your from the backwards part of the country. I guess its because North Dakota has the country’s lowest unemployment rate, or maybe because we will soon be producing more oil than Texas, Or that you can leave the keys in your car all week and your car will still be there, When other states started using Bait Cars we up her in north dakota didn’t even have a clue what they were talking about. Ok I agree its a simple life up north, But to h@#$ with those that have to write such de-meaning posts just to hurt someone. You judge for yourself. and feel free to re-post
