My first experience with Great Lakes Aviation also resulted in my first ‘Lost Luggage’ claim in almost ten years. Not a good start for these guys.

how much of a subsidy do they have to get to get ticket prices down to the reasonable level?

I don’t see any problem with ticket prices increasing. It’s a simple case of supply and demand. They are only charging what the market will bear and Great Lakes needs to make a profit in order to stay in business! If people feel the prices are too high, they’ll stop buying tickets and then adjustments will be made.

I think we should remember that it was Delta who was the one who ran out of here like cowards and paid off a lesser airline to come in here. I am sure the high prices are a result of the transition and will lower in time. In the end, its not anyone’s fault here locally, they fought to keep Delta here, but there was no avoiding it, Delta is the bad guy here.
